Kim Strand
Assistant Board
Positivity engager. Sunshine duchess. Self-proclaimed cable-dork. Loves humans, coffee and her husband the cable guy.
Though a member of the SCTE for many years, Kim has never been more anxious nor privileged to be on the Rocky Mountain Board!
For Kim, this is more than just a position on the board. She is on a mission: share her passion and love of the industry, to mentor learning and development for the new generation of broadband engineers and constructors, to share the tremendous value and benefits of SCTE and to continue the legacy of the Cable Pioneers and the ground work they laid.
Kim started her telecommunications journey in 1993 at Antec-Telewire as a materials manager, and there learned “all things cable”. The subsequent 20+ years have been spent mastering the finer arts of broadband technologies at TCI/ATT, Comcast and various construction and materials vendors. From engineering and rebuild planning at Comcast, to sales operations and new product development at IntegraOptics, Kim’s distinctive work history has touched just about every facet within this fabulous telecom world.
