The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers is a nonprofit professional association that provides technical leadership for the telecommunications industry. It supports its members through professional development, standards, certification, and access to trusted industry information.
Founded in 1969, SCTE has continually expanded its programs and services to meet the evolving needs of a rapidly changing industry. Today, approximately 13,000 professionals including CTOs, engineers, system operations managers, technicians, and field operations personnel across the United States and more than 70 countries rely on SCTE for practical tools and education that help them stay competitive. SCTE is supported by more than 68 chapters and meeting groups, with over 3,000 professionals holding SCTE technical certifications. Through education, certification, and community engagement, SCTE continues to serve both its diverse membership and the telecommunications industry as a whole.
