Ralph Brown

I am the Chief Technology Officer for CableLabs®. In this position I am responsible for leading CableLabs R&D Portfolio in areas of Hybrid Fiber-Coax, Optical Networking, Wireless and Mobile Networks, Software Defined Networks and Network Function Virtualization. This includes cable industry Technology Policy and Standards Strategy. I am also on the Board of Directors of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and the Open Connectivity Foundation.

Prior to this I led the Broadband Access Department at CableLabs during the development of the DOCSIS 3.0 specifications.
