Tom Gorman

Tom Gorman is the President of opXL, LLC. opXL works with companies on improving their operations through revitalization of programs and projects that have stagnated, regardless of the reason. A 41 year industry veteran, over his career, he has worked for Prime Cable, Comcast, Jones Intercable, and Charter. His career has taken him from front line technician to Executive Leadership roles. In January 2012, he started opXL, LLC to support companies in improving all facets of operations. Clients range from small software development companies to Fortune 100 Telecommunications companies. Tom has authored numerous articles on workforce management, automation and dynamic dispatching. He has published and presented papers at Cable Tec EXPO and numerous vendor events for SCTE. In 2007, he was inducted into the SCTE engineering hall of fame. He served on SCTE’s board of directors for 6 years and was its chairman from 2007 to 2009. During his tenure as chairman Tom was instrumental in leading the board through significant structural changes in order to increase the value of SCTE to the industry. In 2011, he was rewarded for those efforts, by being named SCTE’s member of the year. Tom is a regular contributor to Broadband Tech Report, Broadband Library, and other trade publications.
