2021 Charitable Donation Summary

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of SCTE has completed a total of 34 donations in 2021 to distinct eligible organizations, based on the guidelines set forth by SCTE headquarters.  Here is how the chapter directly gave back to our communities:

​

  • FIRST Robotics is the world’s leading youth serving non-profit advancing STEM education.  FIRST facilitates programs for students from kindergarten through high school aged across the globe.

    • This year we made a donation of $14,500 spread over 29 FIRST Robotics teams!
       

  • The Cable Center ​at the University of Denver is a world class facility devoted to the honor, advancement, and achievements of the cable television industry.

    • This year the chapter made a donation of $1,000 to contribute to the Cable Center's ongoing contributions to the SCTE community.​
       

  • NAMIC ​is an organization that helps advance diversity and inclusion in the cable industry.

    • This year the chapter made a donation of $1,000 to contribute to NAMIC.​
       

  • The SCTE Foundation ​is a non-profit organization that supports many initiatives including increasing technical workforce skills; attract diverse talent and promote STEM activities among young people.

    • A donation of $2,000 was completed in 2021 to support SCTE Foundation ongoing efforts.
      ​

  • STEMblazers inspires girls to visualize themselves in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers and empowers them to pursue STEM professions.

    • This year the chapter made a donation of $2,000 to contribute to the STEMblazers.​
       

  • The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver has a mission focused on technology programs to provide youth with access to technology, develop members’ technical skills, promote workforce readiness by increasing career options for young people, and support members’ academic performance.

    • This year the chapter made a donation of $2,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver.​
